Event Coordinator

Kia ora fellow sustainability lovers! We have a very exciting opportunity for an Event Planning superstar to join the team!
In partnership with Wastebusters , we deliver a series of workshops and awareness projects around waste reduction, slow fashion, and repair revolution, called Resourceful Communities . (you may have come to one of our events!)
We are looking for an Event Coordinator who will be responsible for planning and delivering all aspects of each event with our current Co-Event Coordinator, who will report to them.
What you need to know:
You will have the full support and training from the co-event coordinator and the board of Sustainable Queenstown.
You will need to be able to work autonomously, and have a love of strict deadlines!
This is a contracted part-time role, approximately 5-15 hours per week. Flexible work from home hours + some hours that are mandatory to be available for the actual events on the ground. So this will suit someone who lives locally in Queenstown Lakes.
The role is contracted from October 2024 – June 2025 with the opportunity to extend and the pay is $45 per hour.
You will be passionate about sustainability and be the face for Sustainable Queenstown during our events.
Experience in event planning/coordinating is a must.
We are really keen to hear from our wider community, and those of you who may have been wanting to get involved with Sustainable Queenstown, but just haven't found the right way until now!
