We are working with a leading quantity surveying consultancy in New Zealand. They are growing the infrastructure team and you could be working on a variety of projects, including rail, power, roading, marine, three waters, and public realm. Salary NZD 135,000 - 165,000.

You are an exceptional estimator looking for your next opportunity where you can make a difference and add to the successful Auckland infrastructure team. This role offers you the chance to not only lead projects but also to play a key role in shaping the infrastructure team.

Ideally looking in-country, but open to relocating from anywhere. They like project experience from England. They will, of course, be open to other countries, but the crossover here works well from the UK. Equally, those with UK qualifications work well.

Candidates working towards their RICS would be good to highlight.

This client also deals with commercial projects and a number of hospital projects.

In this role, you will undertake:

Project Leadership: Spearhead major projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Strategic Cost Management: Provide expert advice on all aspects of quantity surveying, including cost planning, value engineering, risk management, and procurement to maximise project value and efficiency.

Client Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, understanding their needs and delivering exceptional outcomes.

Team Development: Mentor and guide junior staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team.

Innovation and Improvement: Drive innovation in our practices and processes, contributing to the company's growth and reputation in the industry.

We are looking for talent with a bachelor's degree in quantity surveying or a related discipline, with significant experience in an estimation role.

Strong technical skills and industry experience, proficient in first principles estimation, with sound knowledge and application of construction methodologies.

Proven skills in communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management, with the ability to build lasting relationships.

Highly organised and adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You will be joining a talented team committed to delivering exceptional projects for exceptional clients.
