Details of the offer

The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for design and build projects. This includes collaborating with the design team, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure that estimates are comprehensive and realistic. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating, with experience in the design and build sector.
Key Responsibilities Key responsibilities Key Responsibilities Key responsibilities Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for design and build projects Review and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and other project documents Collaborate with the design team to ensure that estimates align with project scope and requirements Conduct site visits and surveys to gather information for estimating purposes Identify and evaluate potential cost savings and value engineering opportunities Obtain and analyse quotes from subcontractors and suppliers Maintain a database of cost information, including materials, labour and equipment rates Participate in project meetings and provide input on cost-related matters Update estimates as project scope or requirements change Assist with the preparation of bid packages and proposals Monitor project costs throughout the construction phase to ensure alignment with estimates Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating, with at least 2 years in the design and build sector Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and costs Proficient in using estimating software, such as Takeoff, or similar Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or CIOB (Chartered Institute of Building) certification is a plus How to apply If you would like to know more about this position and about joining the team, please send your profile and CV to ********
