Estimator

GJ Gardner Homes Hawkes Bay seeks an estimator to join their team.
Working in a fast-paced residential building environment where the customer comes first, you will need to be a self-starter who can work unsupervised, meet deadlines, and must have New Zealand residential estimator experience.
Excellent communication skills are required as you will be involved in maintaining supplier relationships and liaising with clients.
Key Attributes required: You have a tertiary degree in Quantity Surveying/Estimating or proven New Zealand Residential building experience.
Strong knowledge of building regulations and construction processes.
Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient with Excel is required.
Must be a New Zealand Resident.
Responsibilities include: Preparation of accurate cost estimates for residential construction projects.
Prepare and issue purchase orders for materials and services required for residential construction projects.
Be accountable for the financial performance of the project along with the site team.
Manage the cost of change orders and variations to the project scope.
Invoice processing against budget.
