Estimator – Auckland Region | Up to $135kThe OpportunityJoin a dynamic Tendering team based in South Auckland, as an Estimator, where you'll play a crucial role in delivering accurate and consistent cost estimates for a range of projects. You'll manage the tender process, ensuring the timely delivery of cost estimates and preparation of quantity schedules used during the tendering phase. Your role will involve close collaboration with Quantity Surveyors, Engineers, and the Chief Estimator.Key Responsibilities:Leverage your site experience to produce cost estimates from first principles.Support the development of pre-qualification documents and participate in client meetings, including value engineering assessments.Contribute to tender construction methodologies and assist with pricing inputs aligned with the tender plan.Prepare estimates by calculating statistical data such as quantity take-offs and schedules of quantities.Recalculate quantities in response to design or material changes.Lead supplier negotiations and guide staff involved in the tender process.Use CCS (Candy) software for setting up tenders and managing cost controls.Participate in post-tender negotiations, providing risk analysis and management.What We're Looking For:3-5 years of proven experience in estimation within the Roading and Utilities sectors or contracting experience.Relevant tertiary qualifications (B.ENG or QS).Proficiency in CCS Candy and electronic tendering systems.Strong communication and problem-solving skills.Real Benefits:Medical insurance for you and your family.Life insurance from day one.Increased KiwiSaver employer contributions.Enhanced Parental Leave policy, supporting your growing family.Ongoing training and development opportunities, including family scholarships.Excellent discounts at a wide range of retailers.This is your chance to take on a role where your expertise is valued, and your career growth is supported.
