Assist with pricing inputs in accordance with the tender plan created for each projectPrepare estimates by calculating various statistical data such as quantity take-offsSet-up tenders using estimating and cost control softwareParticipate in post tender negotiations and provide supporting analysis and management of identified risksUtilising operational understanding to problem solve whilst providing "best value" tender responsesIdentifying potential commercial advantages, opportunities and problems in the tendering process and communicating findings with relevant stakeholdersA bit about you:
Hold a relevant Qualification in QS or Estimation12+ months experience as an Estimator or QSBe proficient in the tendering process for projects of varying size and complexityHave an understanding of commercial and/or residential construction contractsAble to analyse project plans and specifications to determine materials, labour, and equipment needsHave a keen eye for detail to ensure compliance with project reqsAble to identify and mitigate potential risks.Be accurate, timely, and detail-oriented, with proficiency in pricing software (CostX experience is preferred).Full NZ Driver's LicenceNZ Residency/Citizenship (only those currently in NZ will be considered)Excellent communication skills, both written and verbalOut-going and positive personalitySelf-starter with the ability to hit the ground running from day oneAs an equal opportunity employer, those from diverse or underrepresented backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
