The University is a comprehensive research-intensive institution with 8 academic faculties and 11 service divisions, creating an evolving and dynamic organisational culture that values excellence, respect and commitment to service.Come and work for an international centre of learning and academic excellence.Job DescriptionThe PVC Equity works with diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) colleagues in faculties and service divisions to achieve equity outcomes that support the university's strategic plan, Taumata Teitei, and the university's commitment to being a welcoming, accessible, and safe environment for our diverse students and staff.We have an exciting opportunity for an Equity Portfolio Lead to join the Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor Equity (OPVCE), who has responsibility for the University's strategic equity leadership and governance.Reporting to the PVC Equity, the Equity Portfolio Lead leads the implementation and ongoing delivery of a portfolio of university strategic equity initiatives that advance the aspirations of Taumata Teitei and contribute to the success of its diverse communities. Some of these key ongoing projects include our Disability Action Plan, Gender Pay Gap reporting and DEI Policy Implementation throughout the University.Some other key responsibilities include:Data and Reporting: Liaise with the Planning and Information Office to access and curate DEI data to support evidence-based decision-making at executive levels of the University.Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with a diverse set of colleagues, collaborators and networks across the University including senior leadership.Continuous Improvement: Leverage feedback and data to enhance programme effectiveness and engagement.This is a part-time 0.6 FTE (22.5 hours per week), permanent opportunity. The salary range for this role is $85,000-$100,000 per annum (pro rata) depending on experience and qualifications.Ideally, you'll have experience overseeing the successful coordination and implementation of a portfolio of projects, preferably related to DEI. Relationship management and partnering skills are important as this role requires strong skills in influencing and enabling collaboration. High-level communication abilities are essential, with verbal, written and interpersonal skills integral to success in this role.Our ideal candidate will bring the following:Demonstrated experience producing high quality written documentation including reports, publications and/or presentations.Research skills including quantitative and qualitative methods with data analysis and critical thinking.Statistical analysis, and the ability to develop graphical and other presentations of data.Advanced Office 365 skills.Strong organisational skills with the ability to efficiently deliver to deadlines.We offer you more than just a job.
