Mackenzie Stuart are currently partnered with a market leading Water Treatment Equipment Provider and Distributor seeking an Equipment Sales Engineer.
Job Title: Water Treatment Equipment Sales Engineer
Reports To: General Manager
Job Summary The Equipment Sales Engineer role is responsible for meeting or exceeding equipment sales revenue goals through the creation of sales leads, initiation of prospect calls, and establishment of ongoing rapport with existing channel partners and potential customers. Develops new leads into detailed engineering solutions by communicating customer needs to the engineering team and working through all design requirements. Builds clear and concise proposals with accurate system designs and commercial terms. Builds relationships with engineering firms and channel partners that lead to good relationships and repeat business.
Key Responsibilities Identify customer needs, recommend solutions, and maintain regular, professional communication as the main sales contact.
Quoting and Product Knowledge: Collaborate with engineering for accurate quotes and maintain up-to-date knowledge of products/services.

Negotiate sales, handle objections, and finalize purchase orders in line with company policies.
Target Achievement: Consistently meet or exceed annual sales targets.

CRM and Data Management: Document interactions in HubSpot CRM and use sales data to drive proactive outreach.

Proposal Generation: Develop accurate, value-focused proposals with clear quotations and terms.

Presentations and Demos: Schedule and deliver sales presentations and product demonstrations to prospects.

Safety and Team Collaboration: Ensure safe practices, report safety concerns, and work cross-functionally to support a positive, results-driven environment.

Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, environmental engineering, or a related field (preferred)
Experience: 5+ years in water treatment equipment sales.
Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of water treatment systems (e.g., softening, filtration, membrane systems, disinfection, chemical feed systems, and more) and Microsoft Office suite.
CRM/ERP Experience: Familiarity with data management systems.
Skills and Attributes Customer-Focused and Driven: Strong work ethic with excellent customer service and technical knowledge.
Integrity and Ownership: Self-motivated, with high integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction.
Clear Communicator: Ability to convey complex technical information simply.
