Details of the offer

Are you an experienced equine vet with a strong interest in commercial work?
We're experiencing growth and are offering an opportunity for a skilled and experienced professional to join our team, servicing an expanding clientele of sport, racing and pleasure horses across rural South Auckland.
About Us
Franklin Vets is a progressive, mixed practice with 12 clinics and a strong focus on preventative care. As a member of our equine team, you will work in our BESTPRACTICE-accredited clinic in Pukekohe. Well equipped with on-farm diagnostics, including portable video endoscope, x-rays and ultrasound machines, we have a quality facility allowing owners to haul in equine patients for enhanced efficiency and care. In addition, we have several clients who possess quality facilities enabling us to work efficiently. Active in preventative and routine health care, dentistry, and reproduction, our goal is to ensure the optimal health and peak performance of our client's horses.
About You
You're a confident, articulate communicator known for your positive outlook and patient demeanour. As an experienced equine veterinarian, you are keen to support and expand our commercial, racehorse and sport horse work. You will be comfortable with providing comprehensive veterinary care, including preventative care, lameness workups and treatments and diagnostic imaging.
Be part of a supportive and high-performing team

We offer a supportive environment where your contributions to expanding our equine services will be valued and encouraged. All 20 of our owners work inside the business and their commitment ensures Franklin Vets is a great place to work. Opportunities for shareholding exist and could become available for the right people. We are proud to remain an independently owned practice and a member of IndieVets NZ, and XLVets NZ.
Take the next step in your career
We pride ourselves on being a progressive practice that offers ample opportunities for growth and learning. If you're keen to develop your equine veterinary career, please apply online with a cover letter and your CV.
