From our Academic Staff Members to our Student Journey Centre, we ensure our akonga are at the heart of everything we do, every step of the way.About the roleWe have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced candidate to lead our Learner Engagement and Success Services Team.
This is expected to be a fixed term of up to 6 months, covering a secondment for the incumbent, from early February 2025 to August 2025.The Manager, Learner Engagement and Success Services is part of the Learning Delivery Leadership Team and is responsible for ensuring that all Open Polytechnic learners have a learning experience where their engagement and educational success is supported by access to a range of services that match their needs.
Effective services will be characterised by technology-enabled, analytics-based personalisation that allows the learner to interact with their learning in convenient, relevant, connected, and smart ways.This role is open to current permanent employees of Te Pukenga only.
Open Polytechnic offers flexible working arrangements to our kaimahi.
Regular attendance on campus is expected as a member of the polytechnic's Executive leadership team.The ideal candidate will haveA postgraduate qualification in an education-related disciplineA background in teaching, social work, or guidance/counsellingExperience leading and managing teamsDemonstrated record of accomplishment in coaching or extensive customer/client interrelationshipsCultural capability skills and professional practice that recognises the principles of Te Tiriti o WaitangiIf this role sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.
