We offer fully paid training, starting with a one-week induction at Manawatu Prison, followed by 5 weeks of training at our National Training Centre in Trentham, Wellington, and then 5 weeks back at Manawatu Prison before graduating. Your learning journey will continue with professional practice and development support, along with a clear pathway to career progression.
In return, you'll get opportunities for professional development, promotion, and the ability to gain a recognised qualification in Offender Management.
This role is based at Whanganui Prison.
Starting salary of $67,519. Once in the role, you have the opportunity to achieve national qualifications of varying levels which increase your salary: Level 3 ($72,197) and Level 4 ($77,713).
You also receive a Variable Shift Allowance in addition to your salary.
