They have been undertaking and continue to embark on a major transformation, which will see a number of key strategic initiatives roll out under the Sustainability and Environment team.Key responsibilities will include:Lead and manage a team of environmental professionalsImplement and contribute to the continuous improvement of the certified Environmental Management SystemEnsure systems, processes, and awareness programs remain current with environmental compliance obligations and operationally effectiveImplement and roll out key strategic initiatives/projectsPresentation (Board level)Lead investigations for all significant environmental incidents and assist the team in incident managementDrive change, motivate and lead the team with a focus on service delivery, collaboration, and problem-solving for the businessTo be successful you will need a sound understanding of the NSW Environmental Planning legislation, possess excellent leadership abilities, be able to strategically investigate systems and processes and make recommendations & changes where appropriate. The Innovations team will ensure that there is always ad hoc project work to be scrutinized and if successful, rolled out. They have numerous offices around Sydney and offer generous working from home arrangements so location should not be an issue.
