Te aheinga - The opportunity We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Environmental Planner to join our Planning and Development Team.
The ideal candidate will have an education in environmental planning and a commitment to sustainable development practices.
This role involves working on a variety of projects that aim to balance development with environmental conservation and community well-being.
Tino takohanga - Key responsibilities: - Processing RMA and related applications - Providing RMA expertise - Applicable financial management - Actively ensure that legislative requirements and Council policies and procedures are fulfilled, particularly in relation to all key relevant legislation Nga tino pukenga me nga wheako - Essential skills and experience: - A tertiary qualification related to resource management or land use planning - Enthusiasm to gain experience and competency in Resource Management legislative processes - A general knowledge of other Local Government legislation and consent processes - Awareness of the Local Government political environment.
