Te aheinga - The opportunity We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Environmental Planner to join our Planning and Development Team.
The ideal candidate will have an education in environmental planning and a commitment to sustainable development practices.
This role involves working on a variety of projects that aim to balance development with environmental conservation and community well-being.
Tino takohanga - Key responsibilities: Processing RMA and related applications Providing RMA expertise Applicable financial management Actively ensure that legislative requirements and Council policies and procedures are fulfilled, particularly in relation to all key relevant legislation Nga tino pukenga me nga wheako - Essential skills and experience: A tertiary qualification related to resource management or land use planning Enthusiasm to gain experience and competency in Resource Management legislative processes A general knowledge of other Local Government legislation and consent processes Awareness of the Local Government political environment.
Computer literacy Full NZ Driver's licence Building positive relationships with customers and stakeholders.
