The ideal candidate will have an education in environmental planning and a commitment to sustainable development practices. This role involves working on a variety of projects that aim to balance development with environmental conservation and community well-being.Processing RMA and related applicationsProviding RMA expertiseActively ensure that legislative requirements and Council policies and procedures are fulfilled, particularly in relation to all key relevant legislationA tertiary qualification related to resource management or land use planningEnthusiasm to gain experience and competency in Resource Management legislative processesA general knowledge of other Local Government legislation and consent processesAwareness of the Local Government political environmentFull NZ Driver's licenceBuilding positive relationships with customers and stakeholdersUnderstand and interpret plansHe aha ai a Taranaki? - Why Taranaki?With the stunning Mt Taranaki as a backdrop and the warm iron sands along our coast, it is no wonder Taranaki is one of the best regions in New Zealand and the world.
