The opportunity awaits… The primary focus of this role is to carry out inspections and investigations, as a warranted enforcement officer (under the Resource Management Act 1991), in response to assigned environmental incidents. This covers a range of activity types, including land use activities, discharges, coastal activities and water takes. Incident response actions include site inspections, sample collection, field measurements, data recording, interviews, desk top investigations and writing reports. It requires the interpretation of legislation and the practical application of regional rules. The Environmental Monitoring Officer – Incident Response may also be required to help implement monitoring programmes for assigned resource consents, regional rules and other regulations. Do you have what it takes?
