With a strong commitment to sustainability and innovation, we are dedicated to delivering high-quality solar energy systems that meet the growing demand for clean energy.We are looking for a diligent Environmental Manager to join our Christchurch office, ensuring projects meet environmental standards and sustainability goals through hands-on involvement, site visits, and team educationYour duties will include, but are not limited to:Develop and implement an environmental strategy to integrate sustainable and environmentally friendly practices across INTEC's construction projects.Collaborate with internal teams to raise awareness and ensure compliance with environmental regulations and best practices.Engage with local government agencies and community groups to address and resolve environmental concerns related to projects.Establish and maintain a comprehensive environmental monitoring program, ensuring continuous compliance with relevant standards.Conduct site visits for measurements, analysis, and observations, recommending necessary actions to meet environmental codes while adhering to project timelines and budgets.Perform regular environmental audits, produce audit reports, and ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory changes, providing updates and guidance to project teamsQualifications and experience:Tertiary qualification in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or a related field.A minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar environmental compliance or engineering role.Experience in the solar construction industry is preferred but not compulsory.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities.Proven experience working with on-site construction teams, contractors, and managing environmental compliance on construction projects.Working knowledge of ISO standards, particularly ISO 14001, and a strong understanding of environmental legislation and regulations.We are looking for a candidate with a positive, proactive, and self-motivated attitude, who takes ownership of their work and demonstrates a strong sense of responsibility.
