Environmental Health Technical Support OfficerWe have an exciting opportunity within our Public Health - Food team as the Environmental Health Technical Support Officer. In this role you will be a pivotal member of the team supporting them with the delivery of their work programme ensuring monitoring of compliance with bylaws and legislation by hospitality business owners.
Key Tasks:
Work closely with the Team Lead to ensure the delivery on the work plan.Work with business owners and the WCC's Environmental Health Officers to coordinate the booking of verifications.Track and manage workflow of verifications due across all districts.Ensure the accurate data entry of all verifications onto WCC's and Ministry for Primary Industry's data bases.Provide administrative support for a range of Food Act 2014 Registration and Verification activities.This is a great opportunity for someone who is keen to work alongside a supportive manager to learn all this team and space has to offer and make the role their own. What you will bring to the role: To be successful in this role you will need to be an experienced administrator who has a keen eye for detail and has a solutions focused mindset. You will need to have exceptional relationship management skills and utilise your ability to influence others and provide quality customer services.
There are a lot of moving parts in the is role, so it is vital you enjoy using your initiative and are adaptable to respond to team needs. Therefore, you will bring strong time management skills, and ability to prioritise work quickly in a busy environment as well as be comfortable working autonomously but also as part of a team. This role requires you to be confident using Excel, so it is important that you are proficient in the Microsoft suite and can learn new systems quickly.
We are looking to appoint between $60,074 - $70,675 per annum, for this role, depending on relevant skills and experience.
