This role sits within our Regulatory Unit and will be reporting to the Team Leader – Public Health. The core of this role will be ensuring we meet our responsibilities as a verification agency under the Food Act 2014. In addition, you may be undertaking compliance monitoring and investigations, or you may be helping with food control plans. You will be a great communicator, who is highly organised and a task-oriented person. For this role, we are seeking: A minimum of 3 years' experience, as an Environmental Health Officer specializing in food safety. A working knowledge of the Food Act 2014 and associated regulations and notices, particularly in relation to verification and enforcement. An understanding of the food control plans for food service and food retail sectors. What is the salary? The starting salary will be around $90,000 per annum with some negotiation for the right person.
