Enviroscope is a leading environmental management consultancy that provides expert advice and support for the construction and development industry.
This role will suit a motivated individual who is looking to grow their environmental consulting skills while working in one of New Zealand's most scenic and dynamic regions.
About the Role In this role, you will work closely with senior consultants to prepare environmental management plans, conduct environmental monitoring and generate reports.
You will be part of a team that supports clients across Central Otago, giving you the opportunity to be involved in some diverse and exciting projects.
Key Responsibilities Assist with the preparation & submission of environmental management plans to regulatory authorities.
Conduct fieldwork which may involve monitoring environmental controls, collection of soil samples, and performing onsite water quality testing.
Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, contractors, regulatory authorities, iwi, environmental groups, and industry experts.
About You You will have a tertiary qualification in Environmental Management/ Science.
Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation, particularly the RMA and the NPS - Freshwater Management.
An understanding of environmental and regulatory compliance.
An understanding of the construction industry and environmental elements (in particular erosion and sediment control) is desirable.
Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively and build good relationships with stakeholders.
A full driver's license.
