Enrolled Nurse - Ward GG - Surgical Orthopaedic Unit, Burwood Hospital Permanent, part-time Enrolled Nurse 0.5FTE position Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current APC Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a cohesive Multi-Disciplinary Team.
Mo te tunga | About the role Ward GG - The Surgical Orthopaedic Unit (SOU) cares for patients undergoing arranged elective orthopaedic and plastic surgery.
Preferably you will have surgical or orthopaedic experience, or a passion for orthopaedics, plastics and rehabilitation.

Your ability to work well under pressure within a multidisciplinary team alongside your excellent communication skills and flexibility to work rotating, rostered shifts is imperative to your success in this role.
Professional development is supported, and you will have opportunities to attend training.
You'll have a strong rehabilitation focus, a desire to learn and an understanding of the social needs and backgrounds of patients and their families/Whanau.
The unit offers social rostering; however, flexibility is still required as you will be expected to be available for all shifts.
Professional development is encouraged on the unit and supported by our RN's and Charge Nurse Managers.
A good sense of humour, the ability to develop rapport with patients and colleagues, and exceptional teamwork will go a long way in this environment and ensure you assist patients to overcome multi-faceted challenges.
Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with other professionals.
Excellent time management, interpersonal and organisational skills.
The ability to be adaptable, flexible and solution-focused.
You should have a rehabilitation mindset and have an enthusiastic approach to your work.
