Nursing - Aged Care (Healthcare & Medical) St John of God Halswell is our major care facility with 60 residential rooms. The service supports 24 hour nursing care and is configured into five small units of care that support our My Life Model of Care.Our unique Model of Care orients our service towards achieving a fulfilling and enriching life for our residents. This asks us to be creative and resourceful, and results in a programme of activities and events that are just as much fun for the caregivers as the residents they support.We provide comprehensive hospital level care for people living with physical and neurological disability. Our 60-room facility delivers residential and respite care as well as transitional and outpatient rehabilitation services.St John of God Halswell is set in established park-like gardens the facility is divided into 4 individual units each managed by a Nurse Unit Manager with a staff of Enrolled/Registered Nurses and Support Workers.We currently have a vacancy for an Enrolled Nurse. This is a permanent position; 72 hours per fortnight over a 7-day week.Skills and experience an ideal candidate will possess:An experienced Enrolled Nurse with a current NZ practising certificate.Confidence in working with a multi-disciplinary teamCommunication skills – with the ability to engage with a wide variety of peopleExperience nursing within the disability sector will be an advantage but not necessaryCommitment to ongoing development and training.Have a valid work visa and twoNew Zealand work related references.If you are an experienced Enrolled Nurse, who works well under pressure and are passionate about your work we would love to hear from you.
