Through integration and collaboration, we're building a health system underpinned by partnership, equity, sustainability, whanau-centred care, and excellence.About the roleOur Enrolled nurses deliver nursing care and health education across the life span to health consumers in community, residential or hospital settings.You will:Contribute to nursing assessments, care planning, implementation and evaluation of care for health consumers and/or families/whanau.Assist health consumers with the activities of daily living, observe changes in health consumers' conditions and report these to the registered nurse, administer medicines and undertake other nursing care responsibilities appropriate to their assessed competence.Work in a team in acute settings with registered nurses, enrolled nurses, and healthcare assistants.Be accountable for your nursing actions and practice competently in accordance with legislation, to your level of knowledge and experience.Work in partnership with health consumers, families/whanau, and multidisciplinary teams.About youTo succeed in this role you will:Be passionate, committed, and have a positive attitude.Have had some previous experience in a surgical, medical, or community setting - this is not essential but is desirable.Be capable of working autonomously.Have a reasonable level of fitness required to cope with the demanding physical requirements of the job.Have an essential full clean driver's licence.Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.Working for Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of Aotearoa/New Zealand.
