Secondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura, Certificated teacherEnglishWe are seeking a teacher of English who is motivated, adaptable and has a growth mindset. The successful applicant will be joining a well-resourced department within a school which is currently undergoing a positive transformation. This is a full-time, permanent position starting January 27th, 2025, or by negotiation. Would be appropriate for first year teachers. Accommodation may be available.With a roll of approximately 420 students, Waitaki Boys' is enriched by a proud heritage, but forward looking and progressive in our task of educating boys to meet the challenges of the world today. The school vision is to develop 'inspiring young men of outstanding character.'The successful applicant must be a NZ registered teacher and will endorse the school's academic focus, as well as be expected to be involved in our strong co-curricular programmes.The terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position is set by the relevant collective agreement. The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $61,329 to $103,086 depending on the applicant's qualifications and experience. Individuals' actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.
