Location: Work from home Work Type: Casual TalkLink China is a well-established tutoring platform which aims to connect English language tutors to growing communities of learners in China. We are expanding our operations to the UK, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, and we are looking for experienced, qualified tutors to join our team. About the role: * It is completely online. You must have your own computer and reliable internet connection. * You must have availability to commit to at least 3-4 classes a week. * Due to time differences, you are normally expected to work late afternoons or evenings and weekends. * It is a role that brings you satisfaction, as you build relationship with students and see their growth and learning progress day by day. * You are responsible for writing personalised lesson plans, sourcing/preparing lesson materials and resources, assigning and marking homework, arranging regular assessment to monitor progress, provide corrective feedback, and cover all aspects of English language learning including listening, speaking, reading, writing, pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary etc. * You must have the ability to independently plan and deliver lessons focused on learning objectives, and design and implement learning tasks and activities suited to the learners' levels. To succeed in this role, you must possess the following: * Minimum 1 year experience in English language teaching or tutoring * Bachelor degree in a relevant subject, teaching qualification or equivalent * Excellent command of English and sound knowledge of English language teaching methods and strategies We are seeking motivated, highly qualified and experienced English language tutors with the ability to show high level of cultural awareness, patience and compassion, and can adapt to new technology in delivery of structured online classes.
