English Language Teacher

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Language Teacher to join our team in Christchurch, New Zealand. In this role, you will be responsible for teaching American English to students of various ages and proficiency levels, fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement effective lesson plans and instructional materials aligned with American English curriculum standardsUtilize a variety of teaching methodologies and techniques to cater to different learning styles and abilitiesAssess students' progress and provide constructive feedback to support their language developmentCreate a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and language practiceCollaborate with colleagues and administrators to enhance the overall quality of the language programStay up-to-date with current trends and best practices in language teaching and incorporate them into your instructionQualificationsBachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related fieldTeaching certification or license (if required in New Zealand)Native or near-native proficiency in American English (spoken and written)Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to create engaging lesson plans and instructional materialsKnowledge of various teaching methodologies and techniquesPatience and ability to work with students of diverse backgrounds and abilitiesExperience teaching English as a second/foreign language (preferred)Familiarity with American culture and idioms (preferred)Proficiency in using educational technology and multimedia resources (preferred)Ability to adapt teaching methods to different learning styles (preferred)Creativity and enthusiasm for language teaching (preferred)How to ApplyFor enquiries about the role, please contact (insert details Name on Phone number, DO NOT enter an email address).
