Are you looking for the chance to lead learning for English Language Learners (ELLs) in an exciting and high performing school?
An excellent leadership opportunity for an experienced ELL educator has arisen within our school. This role will involve leading a team of teachers and learning mentors, as well as leading teacher development and designing learning experiences for your own classes/groups.
You will:
Have strong interpersonal skills and an affinity for working with English language learners.
Have energy and enthusiasm for working with emerging adolescents, particularly those new to New Zealand.
Be able to role model our NX learner dispositions (R.E.S.P.E.C.T).
Have a strong sense of integrity and ability to give effect to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
Demonstrate knowledge of effective ELL pedagogy and resources, along with a willingness to learn and apply the refreshed NZC to our ELIP programme.
Offer strong assessment for learning practices and innovative ideas for ELL assessment using the English Language Learning Pathway (ELLP).
Some knowledge of Visible Learning and Project Based Learning will be advantageous.
