Now, we're seeking an experienced Engineering Team Lead to join the Vet Radar team based in our Auckland R&D center of excellence. Your Role We are looking for a leader of technical people who is capable of driving delivery velocity by: Resourcing appropriately. Developing great engineers aligned to our roadmap and customer goals. Growing leaders and hiring driven engineers to achieve beyond what they think they can accomplish. You should be a communicator who can distill desired objectives into meaningful outcomes that inspire the team to get behind. What You'll Bring: Proven multi-skilled team leadership experience: Leadership of 1-2 squads of engineers (Developers and QA's). Coaching and career development for your squads. Track record of coaching, leading, hiring, and inspiring engineers. Experience with principles and practices relating to modern software engineering and using cloud technologies. Responsibility for delivery, engineering practices, and processes, balancing and negotiating with product between technical improvements and roadmap delivery. Significant web development experience. Reviewing fellow coder's code and collaborating on exciting problems with your team members. Previous experience with delivering product in a SaaS environment. Experience with: Typescript, Node.js, React Native Web. AWS - understanding serverless architectures. OOP in JS/TS. Working knowledge of Agile. Dynamo, Postgres, and Elasticsearch. A Computer Science or Information System degree OR industry qualification equivalent is desirable.
