Engineering Team Leader - Evening ShiftOur Takapau site in Central Hawke's Bay is Silver Fern Farms' largest dedicated lamb processing site, employing up to 950 people at the peak of the season. Our Engineering team is in an exciting phase as we look to grow the capability of our team and implement a refreshed structure and processes that will enable us to continue to improve the service we provide while enhancing reliability at the site.We are looking for a trade qualified electrician to join our team as the Engineering Team Leader on our evening shift. You will:Lead a team in providing engineering services, maintenance, and support on-site for the evening shift team.Manage people leadership responsibilities.Work with Production leaders to ensure all scheduled work is completed and plant maintenance issues are reacted to as needed.You will be joining a team on the rise and play a key role in implementing our vision for the Takapau site. This change will provide excellent development opportunities for those who prove themselves, are flexible, and want to join us on the journey!Skills and Attributes of the Successful Applicant:Current NZ electrical registration and practising license.Excellent technical know-how in an industrial electrical environment.Proven experience as a "people leader" capable of leading and uniting teams to achieve collaborative tasks.Experience communicating and working effectively with Production Leaders.Strong organisational and planning skills.Ability to analyse problems and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.Computer Literacy with strong software package experience is advantageous.Our ideal candidate will have previous experience in a Food Processing environment and not only be able to 'do the job' but also utilize their analytical and problem-solving skills to provide top-level service. You should have the ability to multitask across both the technical aspects and the day-to-day organisation/administrative duties required of a large-scale team leader.
