We have an amazing opportunity at our Pareora site south of Timaru, suited to a highly motivated and skilled Maintenance Engineer/Tradesperson with solid leadership experience, or a proven FMCG Leading hand looking to take the next step in their career and join our team an as Engineering Team Leader, overseeing our large maintenance engineering team onsite.
Successful candidates will ideally have previous experience in a Food Processing environment and cannot just 'do the job', but to use their analytical and problem-solving skills to provide top level service to the processing plant and their team, of skilled engineers by leading from the front and creating a safe and collaborative team environment with an open-door policy to lead this team from strength to strength. Working as part of a site engineering leadership team, candidates will have good interpersonal skills and an attitude for getting stuck in to get the job done. All the while having good EI and an ability to multitask across both the technical aspects, and the day-to-day organisation/administrative duties required of a large-scale team leader.
The successful applicant will have the following skills and attributes: Trade Qualified as a L4 Mechanical Diagnostics Engineer | Fitter Turner or Automotive Engineer. Excellent technical know-how/ diagnostics ability in an industrial maintenance environment. Proven experience as a leader in an engineering environment and a true "people leader" who can not only lead but bring teams together to achieve tasks collaboratively. Ability to analyse problems and implement effective solutions on a timely basis.Organised, with the ability to plan and prioritise workload in a challenging environment.Computer Literacy with strong computer/ administrative experience would be advantageous. The Engineering Team Leader will be responsible for leading our team of 10+ Maintenance Engineers across various rosters on our second largest site in the South Island, with a number of chains operating across multiple species at any one time- assisting with planned maintenance and installation of new plant equipment as required - all the while being across the urgency of a high speed site operating in a time precious sector.
