Engineering Supervisor

The Engineering Supervisor is a key role in the smooth running of the Engineering team. The role is focused on ensuring effective communication and delivering engineering services to key stakeholders across the business and managing & supporting the engineering team to effectively eliminate and minimise downtime associated with plant and machinery.The successful candidate will demonstrate great leadership and people skills as well as be good at building long-term relationships, both inside and outside the business. You will have great technical skills and experience with horticultural machinery, including post-harvest packing equipment would be a bonus (not a prerequisite to be considered for this role). You will enjoy spending your time in a mix of supervisory/admin duties (75%) with 25% of your time on the tools. You will not find yourself stuck in the office, but working in the business and supporting our regional bases as required.Wilcox is a family-owned, fully integrated business - growing, packing, and marketing our produce. The Engineering team is key to our efficiency and success, delivering a mix of traditional engineering and bespoke machinery builds.Based in Pukekohe, you will not have the traffic hassles of the Auckland commute and you will be leading a skilled and energetic engineering team, including developing apprentices. There is a requirement for some travel to our regional bases - Northland, Ohakune, Matamata, and Rakaia.
