Purpose of the Position As an Engineering Project Manager you will manage capital projects within the Ingham's network.
You will be responsible for the design, implementation, commissioning and handover of projects ensuring that project timelines, budgets and safety/quality requirements are met whilst engaging key stakeholders through effective communication and consultation over the life cycle of the project.
Some Key Responsibilities Design, implement and commission capital projects and partner with Site Operations & Engineering teams successfully.
Manage project technical requirements and associated financial costs for capital projects.
Lead onsite suppliers and contractors to ensure they understand Ingham's safety standards and always operate within these standards.
Provide technical guidance related to safety compliance for site equipment and systems.
Control and manage the project budget and provide financial reporting on project status.
Qualification & Experience requirements Tertiary Qualification in relevant field.
Experience with Engineering plant & equipment installation in a (ideally) food processing environment.
Demonstrated experience with continuous improvement systems and techniques.
Experience leading and implementing large engineering projects (Food industry preferred).
Experience monitoring compliance with safety policies/procedures and managing contractors.
Skills Advanced AutoCAD, Microsoft Project and Excel skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships and influence senior stakeholders internal and external to the organization.
Excellent people leadership capability with the ability to adapt to achieve desired objectives.
The position will be based from our Te Aroha Plant and travel to other Plants in Auckland and Cambridge will be required from time to time.
