Role Overview: The Engineering Practice Manager drives improvements across our engineering practices, including development, testing, and DevOps/SRE, to enhance the delivery of high-quality software. They partner with Delivery Managers and Technical teams to implement best practices, improve standards, and ensure effective, cost-efficient solutions are delivered across our Value Streams.
You will lead key initiatives aimed at enhancing software engineering processes and fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence, all while providing guidance and support to delivery teams. By partnering with Delivery Managers, you will help create high-performing squads that produce fit-for-purpose solutions while maintaining our commitment to quality and innovation.
Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities: Establish and maintain Engineering standards and best practices for all engineering teams to follow.Lead initiatives that improve engineering practices and realize tangible business benefits.Collaborate with Delivery Managers and technical leaders to implement change initiatives across all squads.Facilitate the creation of Engineering communities of practice to foster knowledge sharing and collaboration.Ensure engineering teams have access to fit-for-purpose tools, frameworks, and libraries to support the development of software solutions.Support Delivery Managers in decision-making throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).Desired Skills and ExperienceWhat We're Looking For: We're looking for an experienced Engineering leader who brings both strong technical expertise and leadership skills. The ideal candidate will have:
A minimum of 5 years' experience in a technology leadership role, ideally in a similar industry or environment.Experience in working with Agile delivery methods and a solid understanding of Agile principles.Strong technical experience with Microsoft Cloud products and services.A formal qualification in technology (e.g., BE, BSc (Hons), or equivalent) is highly desirable.Why Join Us?
