We are looking for a self-motivated, customer focused individual to join the Three Waters Unit as an Engineering Officer. About the role | Ko te mahi nei This role focuses on Water Connections, so you will be liaising with other teams in Council, residential, commercial and industrial customers as well as our external contractors to ensure we are providing the best possible service. Your responsibilities include: Timely response to a broad range of technical and financial customer queries Utility connection assessment and administration Arrange for Installation of Council assets Revenue calculation and recovery Contract supervision and management Water meter data collection Coordinating and supervising tankered waste contractors About you | Ko Koe Tenei You will be using your people skills to instil confidence and build trust with your customers. You'll be providing technical advice and responding to customers' enquiries, so you'll be a confident communicator both in person and with written documentation. You will also have: Tertiary qualification (minimum certificate level 5) in administration, finance, engineering or other related subject, or equivalent relevant experience Minimum 4 years post qualification experience, with at least 3 years' experience working within the industry A good working knowledge of modern computer systems and programmes, with previous experience working within billing systems e.g. SAP Knowledge of water supply distribution and sewer operations Knowledge of relevant legislative 'Acts' and 'Bylaws' What's in it for you?
