Our Role Our Engineering Managers enjoy working with a diverse team of technical specialists, with full responsibility for their team's success and ongoing development. Reporting to the CTO, this role is specifically focused on people management, guiding the professional development, technical capability and delivery of your team members. You will also have the opportunity to roll up your sleeves and dive into technical challenges, sharing your own technical expertise with your team and fellow Managers. This role is well suited to someone who is keen to take the initiative to find a better solution and challenge the norm, whilst remaining pragmatic to what is achievable at the time. To be successful, we are looking for: Strong people management skills, with a diverse team involved across all stages of the SDLC Previous leadership and guidance in the professional development of a team of software engineers and technical specialists Understanding of modern engineering practices and project delivery frameworks that focus on delivering prioritised business objectives Exceptional communication skills, coordinating activity across different squads and collaboration with your colleagues (both technical and non-technical) Technical stack includes AWS, GCP, React, PHP, Java, or Mobile & Flutter Exposure to the logistics industry will be advantageous, however, more important is being able to understand the complexity of the industry and the challenges our customers face Experience in a startup type environment will align with the "all-in" nature of our day to day activities, and the rollercoaster of thrills that this environment provides!
