They have a great team that values family and maintains a non-corporate and non-hierarchical culture.The OpportunityThis is an exciting leadership opportunity for an experienced and forward-thinking Engineering Manager to lead a well-established but under-optimised food processing site.
With significant investment already made in the site and a supportive General Manager keen for change, you will play a key role in transforming the engineering function to best-in-class standards.
This isn't a business where decision-making sits in Australia; you will report directly to the General Manager who is on site and moves at pace to review and approve capital to enable your engineering improvement ideas.
If you are passionate about driving operational excellence, optimising asset reliability, and improving productivity, this is your chance to make a tangible impact.The RoleAs the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading the site's engineering team and overseeing all aspects of maintenance, reliability, and capital improvement projects.
Your focus will be on optimising the performance and longevity of a wide range of processing assets while ensuring compliance with strict food safety standards.Key Responsibilities IncludeLeading and mentoring a team of engineers and maintenance staff (both internal and contractors).Implementing modern maintenance strategies to increase reliability and minimise downtime.Using data and analytics to inform asset management decisions and improve performance tracking.Collaborating closely with production teams to enhance operational efficiency and throughput.Overseeing capital projects and ensuring successful delivery within budget and timelines.Driving continuous improvement initiatives focused on site productivity and asset utilisation.Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and fostering a culture of safety and quality.Skills & ExperienceTo be successful in this role, you will need:Proven experience as an Engineering Manager within a large, complex manufacturing or food processing environment.Strong leadership and team development skills, with a track record of building high-performing teams.Expertise in modern maintenance techniques, such as preventive and predictive maintenance.Experience working with advanced and automated production assets.A solid understanding of data-driven decision-making and experience using asset management systems.Familiarity with food safety standards and regulatory requirements in a production or processing setting.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.A strategic mindset with the ability to execute continuous improvement initiatives and deliver measurable results.How To ApplyThis is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Engineering Manager to step into a dynamic role where they can influence positive change and contribute to the success of a thriving food production site.
