We're looking for a handful of equally passionate, high achievers who would like to be part of our 10-week, Summer intern program . We have some exciting opportunities in the software, electrical, computer vision, artificial intelligence, and machine learning fields.
Based in Albany, Auckland , in our repurposed industrial space, our high performing team enjoys the perks of a large global and a small NZ tech company. Job Duties:
As interns, you will experience what it takes to bring an idea from concept to product. You will be working side-by-side with experienced engineers to deliver quality technology and data solutions to aid in the delivery of leading edge video, AI, and imaging products. This is a unique chance to drive Teknique and Resideo to accomplish their mission to "Protect What Matters Most" while bringing innovation to the way we live.
We are looking for interns to collaborate and contribute to a variety of innovation projects this summer, which include the following:
Researching and developing a robot sentry camera system.
Developing, assessing, and implementing cutting-edge, edge-based AI models for home safety hazard detection and vehicle brand recognition.
Employing image engineering robotics to automate the image tuning process for future products.
Designing a modular mechanical component system for consumer products.
To be eligible for this placement, please see the following requirements :
Be studying, or have recently completed, an undergraduate or postgraduate degree or qualification at NZQA level 6-10. If the study has been completed, the closing date of your final semester should be less than 12 months ago.
Be studying, or have studied, science, technology, engineering, design, or business at a New Zealand tertiary education institute.
Not have been previously employed at the business in either a full-time or part-time permanent position (temporary short-term employment is permitted).
