We are looking for an experienced and talented Engineering Admin Assistant to be based at our Kaiapoi plant, where we operate a factory, product development and warehousing & logistics facilities and maintain our head office. This is a key support role where you will be providing clerical support for management of engineering purchases, spare parts coordination, work task planning and documentation.
Key Elements for this role Completion of engineering purchase order requests, including
Assisting to identify and source the appropriate required component parts Seeking component part pricing details from suppliers Maintaining engineering spare parts inventory lists Ordering approved purchase orders with suppliers and tracking delivery details Coordinating engineering work task requests
Collating work request lists for evaluation Generating work orders within the Maintenance System Managing work order data entry / task close
Following up with engineering team for work progress status reports Imputing work history details into the system records Monitoring and Assisting of our Engineering Contractor / Visitor reception and sign in documentation controls.
You will be required to assist our Maintenance Manager to plan and coordinate maintenance programs with a potential opportunity for this role to grow into a future Maintenance Planner role.
Key Competencies for this role Computer Literate / Data entry skills Intermediate / Advanced Excel skills Ability to respond to multiple requests within a busy team environment Experience in an Engineering Environment (desirable) Experience managing various Trades Contractors (desirable) Experience with CMMS Systems (desirable) This is a great opportunity to make a strong contribution, and futher develop yourself, across a wide range of site service operations here at Hellers.
