Our role:
The Engagement Manager is responsible for delivering projects, establishing excellent business-to-business relationships, securing revenue streams and driving customer success initiatives. They are accountable for thinking beyond the project scope to achieve great business outcomes for customers


The Engagement Manager reports to the Regional Services Director. It has people management responsibilities

A day in your role:

Responsible for the delivery of engagements in accordance with the Objective Project Management Methodology. Implement strong project controls and implementation disciplines to ensure outcomes are delivered successfully while minimising project risk. The Engagement Manager leads projects, provides strategic direction, and engages in all projects at the Steering Committee level.
Ensures long-term customer success across assigned customers, partnering with the Account team by driving value through projects and strategic initiatives. Leverages new technologies and processes to develop greater customer engagement. The goal is to make all customer sites referenceable and active advocates of our products and services.
Sets work assignments and reviews/appraises consultants' delivery on engagements. Assists the Regional Services Director with the recruitment of the best staff in line with the growth of the region. Participates in staff development through understanding their desired career paths and aligning these with Objective's business outcomes. Motivates team members to minimise staff turnover.
Recognised as one of the leading contributors to our initiatives in cooperation with Global Project Management Office (PMO), to ensure continuous improvement in the "way we work at Objective" through contribution to 'Best Practice' via improvements in our methodology.
As a trusted advisor, directly engage with customers to sell and deliver services that enhance customer success (in conjunction with the Account team). I contribute to growth by working with Sales in response to tenders, including presales activities—I am involved in tender responses, planning sessions, and demonstrations.
Supports regional business operations through ownership of resource management, providing timely and accurate inputs into the revenue/costs forecasting and budget/planning processes, and local ownership of relevant innovation programs.

Your skills, experience and beyond:

Experienced working in the software industry.
Strong consulting experience, preferably from a product background, with an excellent understanding of the end-to-end consulting process.
Strong project management experience in formal project management and implementation methodologies and processes is highly desirable. Formal project management accreditation, such as PRINCE2 and PMBOK, is also highly desirable.
A pragmatic and big-picture person with the ability to operate at a hands-on level and conceptualise solutions.
Strong understanding of the sales process and ability to engage at senior management level. Service sales experience is a plus.
Strong commercial, consulting and business development skills to convert opportunities into approved projects.
Demonstrates a strong track record of leading teams and driving positive change.
