Our Te Ara Institute professional development programme supports the passionate and committed people who are working in retirement villages across the country.As the Engagement & Business Development Manager, you'll play a vital role in driving client retention and expanding participation in professional development by establishing meaningful connections with potential clients and partners. You'll be responsible for ensuring programmes align with the evolving needs of the sector and that we're delivering quality training initiatives.To be successful in this role you'll have:5 years or more in Business Development, Account Management, or Sales, with a proven track record of generating leads and closing dealsDemonstrated ability to engage, build and maintain strong relationshipsExperience in new business development, conversion, and negotiation, with a focus on achieving targetsAwesome communication skills with the ability to tailor proposals and presentations to diverse audiencesAbility to think strategically, manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detailFamiliarity with the Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, PowerPoint, Excel) and experience with CRM systemsSelf-motivation with a proactive approach to identifying challenges and developing effective solutionsAn engaging personality with a 'can do' mindsetKey Responsibilities:Establish and nurture relationships with existing clients to ensure retention and satisfactionBuild and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, stakeholders, and industry influencersIdentify leads and build and maintain a business development pipelineContribute to promotional strategies aimed at attracting and retaining clientsAssist in creating social media, newsletter, and other marketing contentOrganise and attend professional development days, events, and webinarsDeliver on agreed revenue targets in line with monthly and quarterly goalsStay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and market dynamics to identify potential business opportunitiesSome nationwide travel will be required from time to time.If this ticks most or all of your boxes, then apply today!
