Engagement and Business Development ManagerMy client is a small voluntary, nationally-based membership association representing industry operators, developers, and management throughout New Zealand.As an Engagement & Business Development Manager, you will play a vital role in driving client retention and expanding participation in professional development by establishing meaningful connections with potential clients and partners.You will ensure programs align with the evolving needs of the sector through promoting quality training initiatives.Note - this role is 30 hours/week.Key Responsibilities:Establish and nurture relationships with existing clients to ensure retention and satisfaction.Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, stakeholders, and industry influencers.Identify leads and build and maintain a business development pipeline.Contribute to promotional strategies aimed at attracting and retaining clients.Assist in creating social media, newsletter, and other marketing content.Organise and attend professional development days, events, and webinars.Deliver on agreed revenue targets in line with monthly and quarterly goals.Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and market dynamics to identify potential business opportunities.Some nationwide travel will be required from time to time.Summary of Key Skills, Knowledge, and Experience Required:A minimum of 5 years in Business Development or Account Management, with a proven track record of generating leads and closing deals.Ability to engage and build relationships and secure new business.Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring ongoing engagement and satisfaction.Experience in new business development, conversion, and negotiation, with a focus on achieving revenue targets.Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, PowerPoint, Excel) and experience with CRM systems.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor proposals and presentations to diverse audiences.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and partners.An education or training background would be highly desirable.Personal Competencies Required:Self-motivated, with a proactive approach to identifying challenges and developing effective solutions.Results-driven.A strategic thinker.An engaging personality.Please direct any questions to Danae Young at Find Recruitment - ****** or call on 027 238 8188 for a confidential discussion.
