INVERCARGILL SITE BASED ROLE - ENGINEERING MANAGER Platinum Recruitment are excited to be partnering with one of the largest NZ-owned food processing companies. The Engineering Manager is a critical function in this busy food processing site. THE ROLE: As Engineering Manager, reporting to the Plant Manager, your core functions are as follows:
Minimising downtime with planning & maintenance management
Overseeing the in-house & contracting maintenance team
Ensuring all maintenance adheres to food safety & quality standards
Driving continuous improvement within the maintenance function
Management of maintenance budgets & related asset management
Project management: major CAPEX projects approved for go ahead
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE/ BE: Min. 6 years in manufacturing maintenance - ideally food
Min. 3 years team leadership / people management experience
Mechanical / Electrical trade OR Engineering tertiary qualification
IT proficient; CMMS preventative maintenance software
Adept at driving Lean Manufacturing & CI methodologies
Professional communication skills up & down the chain
Sound reporting, planning, budgeting & job scheduling skills
