Whether you're a local seeking a new opportunity in your career or considering relocating, we invite you to experience the benefits that Taranaki and McKechnie offer for you.Partnering with the EECA (Energy Efficiency & Conservation Authority), the McKechnie Energy Graduate position will focus on energy efficiency projects to optimise the McKechnie plant and electrification of site processes that currently rely on natural gas.Reporting to the McKechnie Site Engineer Manager, you will be reviewing and monitoring an Energy Baseline Plan which will require computer based energy modelling, investigation of processes and modifications, conducting trials and raising the overall energy savings awareness within the business.This graduate role will commence in February 2025 (or earlier) as a 24-month fixed term position, with standard hours being Monday to Friday 8:00am through 4:30pm.Requirements for the role:A relevant tertiary qualification such as energy or environmental management, mechanical or electrical engineering.Have a keen interest in the energy sector.Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage a number of tasks at one time.Ability to work effectively in a team environment, and collaborate well with others.Have a curious nature, analytical mindset and explore possibilities to solve problems.Excellent attention to detail and demonstrated research skills.Demonstrate resilience and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in.If you are passionate, ambitious and innovative, and seeking a position that offers the opportunity to kickstart your career, we encourage you to apply.
