Allied Security is a privately owned, multi national company delivering security services to a wide range of customers for over 28 years. With operations in New Zealand, Australia and Canada we seek a employment relations manager to join our team. With in excess of 3000 staff  and group turnover in excess of $170m NZD this is an exciting opportunity to join NZ's leading security provider at a senior management level, with capacity to develop as the lead ER/HR manager for our increasingly global footprint, reporting directly to our Directors. Our client base is extensive from Central and Local Government, Global entities to local Business. Our business is dynamic, fast paced with a strong appetite for growth and evolution.  This role is critical to the Allied network and our future business plans. The role is Monday to Friday with minimal afterhours and weekend calls due to the nature of the security business.  Working from home is an option available, but not on a permanent basis, along with the flexibility to work from any office location within NZ. The successful applicant will be providing and developing skills in the following areas: Implementation of best practice and alignment with company policy Senior staff guidance and developmentHR leadTraining and development of our operational teamsResearching and maintaining upto date ER and HR best practice ER representationparticipation in the SMT business development / company culture/directionClient management and engagement re ER/Industrial relations  Ideal applicants should have the following - Qualifications in HR and/or Employment Law and or other legal practice. - Proven history in similar roles - Experience in providing expertise and advice to senior management / director level - Experience relative to Employment Relations Authority, processes and systems, inclusive of representation  - Excellent Communication Skills - Be active and physically mobile - Ability to maintain and develop stakeholder relations Ideally the successful candidate will have some knowledge of Australian Employment Law, but this can be gained during employment. Ability to travel as and when required within both NZ and Australia. We understand not all applicants may have the complete list of role requirements, we are open to alternate skill sets and varying models of what the future state of the role may look like, it is envisaged this role will in time create their own internal team of expertise within ER/HR and wider contractual relations and arbitration.  We seek a goal orientated applicant keen to take on and develop/expand new skills across a wider area of expertise. This role can be located in any of our main NZ offices, Christchurch, Wellington,  Hamilton,  Tauranga ,  Auckland Successful applicants will be contacted for interview.
