Mo te turanga / About the role We are seeking an Emergency Specialist to work in our Taupo Hospital on a casual basis. You will be part of a small competent and supportive team which provides 24/7 medical cover to a population of approximately 41,000. You will also have the support of other medical staff such as nurses, medical students, and junior resident doctors.
Use your varied and broad generalist knowledge and experience to diagnose and treat your patient in ED, through to discharge or stabilise and transfer patients to the Secondary/Tertiary Hospitals when required. You'll be within 3 months of obtaining your Emergency Medicine qualification and/or hold/be eligible for Specialist Vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
