Modern rural hospital emergency departmentSeeking a senior medical officer for a modern rural hospital emergency department. This position is full time with a shift based work schedule and is permanent. Competitive compensation with relocation support and visa sponsorship.Position HighlightsA 15 bed emergency department seeing 18,000 patients per year.Supported by 24/7 laboratory and radiology services, including CT.Emergency department is staffed by an eclectic team of doctors – rural specialists, emergency medical officers and emergency specialists.Assess all patients presenting acutely to the hospital and treat, transfer, or admit as required.SMO cover 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.10-hour shift duties.RequirementsFACEM or equivalent qualification.Hold current registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand in the scope of practice of Emergency Medicine, or equivalent, and must be of good standing.RemunerationSalary and allowances NZD 200,000 - 450,000 PA DOE.Relocation package.Visa sponsorship.Study leave and allowance of NZD 16K pa.6 weeks paid vacation PA.LocationThe Coromandel, renowned for its pristine beaches, misty forests and laid-back vibe, is one of New Zealand's most popular holiday destinations.
