About Our Team:
As an Emergency Medicine Registrar, you'll thrive in our bustling Emergency Department, which sees approximately 46,000 attendances annually, boasting a 30% admission rate and a notable volume of major trauma cases. The department boasts four observation unit beds. With a focus on high patient acuity and significant trauma cases, our department provides a stimulating environment for professional growth. Joining a seasoned team of 16 Emergency Medicine Physicians, 15 Registrars, 8 House Officers, and 4 Nurse Practitioners. Accredited as a tier 2 non-major referral site for training with the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (24 months ED training), offering a structured teaching program and ample learning opportunities.
We can offer suitably qualified advanced trainees a 3 month Anaesthetic rotation after completing a minimum of 6 months in the Emergency Department. There is also the potential for advanced trainees to rotate through Intensive Care Medicine, Paediatrics or Medicine, by application. About You:
Our ideal candidate:

Suitable for Resident Medical Officers PGY3 and ideally have completed at least a six month placement working in an Emergency Department at Registrar level.
Applicants must be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
