We have an exciting opening that's tailor-made for you!We are looking for a dedicatedEmbroidery Operator to join our Embellishment team based in Wiri, Manukau. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the department to efficiently process all garments required for embellishment, while ensuring the garments are completed and dispatched with the agreed timeframes.Embrace the afternoon shift and find the perfect work-life balance. This is a full-time role working afternoons Monday to Thursday (2PM to 11PM) and Fridays (2PM to 8PM).Reporting to the Embellishment Manager, you will be directly responsible for the efficient operation of our Embroidery Machines.The Role:Operating single and multi-head embroidery machine.Organise digitising and run samples.Prepare and brand items as per Works instructions.Examine embroidery, trim threads and backing.Unpack and brand garments ready for despatch.Sew on badges, carry out repairs, alterations and adding of tape as required.Trouble-shoot small machine problems, perform routine maintenance, replace needles, clean & oil equipment.Quality control of garments.About you:Experienced operators preferred, but in-house training can be provided to new operators.Willingness to learn and take advantage of ongoing product training.Experience in, or a passion for, machine operation.A positive, upbeat individual with loads of initiative.Be results-orientated and have strong attention to detail.Have natural ability to problem solve.Have high professional and personal standards.A can-do attitude, being highly organised and methodical, and possess excellent verbal and written communication.Will have proven experience in a warehouse environment.Must be a team player.About Us:At NZ Safety Blackwoods, we are passionate about providing expert knowledge to our customers backed by the ability to be a single source through our comprehensive range of engineering supplies, safety, uniform and packaging products.Through our range of products and services, we make our customers' businesses safer.
