EMBERZ Restaurant is located in the Ascot Park Hotel, situated on the outskirts of Invercargill in beautiful park-like surroundings. A stand out venue in the region for business, conference and leisure guests. The hotel offers excellent conference facilities, catering for anything from 8 to 800 people. EMBERZ restaurant and bar are both busy outlets serving in-house and local customers with the aim to offer great food with exceptional service. Reporting to the Restaurant Manager you will play a pivotal role in assisting with the smooth and efficient day to day operation of EMBERZ Restaurant and Bar. Our current restaurant manager needs the support to continue to grow the service and experience of EMBERZ and there will be opportunity to take the reins when she is on maternity leave. The role works closely with other head of departments and offers the right person a great opportunity to be part of a successful operation and further develop their career in the hospitality industry while working within a supportive management team. Applicants will demonstrate the following attributes: Ability to lead a team and deliver excellent service goals. Experience within the hospitality sector and in particular food and beverage. The ability to deal with a range of people both in our customers and within the team. A knowledge of running a busy shift. A great communicator with the ability to think on your feet. Desire to train and mentor staff, with a real passion to deliver exceptional guest experiences. You will be part of the team that plan and execute large scale black tie gala dinners and a range of events.
