Preparation of the Deceased (Training Provided):Learn and apply embalming techniques with guidance from experienced staff.Participate in restorative and cosmetic preparation under the supervision of skilled professionals to prepare the deceased for viewing or final disposition.2. Crematorium Operation (Training Provided):Receive training to operate cremation equipment safely and effectively, adhering to all standard procedures and regulations.Develop skills to handle cremated remains respectfully, ensuring proper identification, documentation, and preparation for return to families.Learn to maintain cremation logs and documentation with accuracy, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.3. Health and Safety Compliance:Follow on the job safety protocols related to biohazards, chemicals, and crematory equipment, guided by senior staff.Keep work areas clean and sanitized under supervision, ensuring a safe and respectful environment.4. Documentation and Record-Keeping:Receive training to document embalming procedures and cremation details accurately, maintaining comprehensive records in line with company policies.5. Coordination with Funeral Directors:Collaborate with funeral directors and develop skills to meet family requests, with support and guidance from colleagues.Learn to communicate effectively about cremation schedules and details to ensure seamless coordination with other services.6. Professional Development and Learning:Participate in ongoing, hands on training and mentorship, staying updated on industry best practices.Engage in additional educational opportunities provided by the company to expand knowledge and proficiency in embalming and crematorium operations.Qualifications:Education: Diploma in Embalming (Level 5 or equivalent) or enrollment in a recognized program.Skills:Detail oriented, compassionate, and respectful approach to working with families and the deceased.Reliable recordkeeping skills and organisational abilities.Working Conditions:Work is conducted in mortuary and crematory settings, with potential exposure to biohazards, chemicals, and high temperatures.
